San Marino MotoGP Results: Bagnaia beats Bastianini to make new Ducati history, Ducati Team rider Francesco Bagnaia made history as the first Ducati rider to win four MotoGP races in a row thanks to his dominant performance in the 2022 MotoGP series, the San Marino MotoGP at the Misano Circuit. In the last laps, Bagnaia fought fiercely with Gresini Racing's Enea Bastianini who had to settle for finishing runner-up with a very tight margin of 0.034 seconds when the two almost simultaneously crossed the finish line. Maverick Vinales took his third podium from the last four races of the season after finishing P3 for Aprilia. Yamaha's Fabio Quartararo could not do much at Misano but maintained his position at the top of the standings with a collection of 211 points after finishing P5 behind Luca Marini of the VR46 team.
