7 Strongest Father Son in Anime, There's Naruto Minato

One interesting type of relationship in anime is that between fathers and children, especially sons.

While all parent-child pairs have the potential to be attractive, there are many types of father-son relationships.

In addition to getting along and supporting each other, there are also father-daughter relationships that have the potential to fight each other. Of the many strongest father-daughter duos in anime, here are 7 of them!

1. Minato Namikaze and Naruto Uzumaki (Naruto)

Naruto Uzumaki and his father Minato Namikaze actually did not live on the same timeline, because Minato sacrificed his life to protect Naruto and the village of Konoha when Naruto was a baby.

But the two of them get a chance to fight together after Naruto almost loses himself to the Nine-Tails' chakra, and finally meets his father who helps him control the beast and use its power to defeat Pain.

They also fought together when Minato was reincarnated through Edo Tensei during the Fourth Shinobi World War.

Had they been able to fight together their entire lives, they would have become an unbeatable duo.

2. Son Goku and Son Gohan (Dragon Ball Z)

Goku is definitely one of the most powerful characters in the world of anime, but his son Gohan is not to be underestimated either.

In fact, he was able to match Goku's skills at the age of 10. His development of abilities is a result of his half Saiyan status, which seems to make him stronger than a pure Saiyan.

Both of them are able to use ki to fight, take advantage of several power-up transformations, rely on super speed, super strength and super resilience.

Gohan has always been willing to fight when it comes to saving the world, but not like his father. He is not particularly fond of fighting and prefers to adhere to peace-loving principles whenever possible.

3. Igneel and Natsu Dragneel (Fairy Tail)

After being revived by his brother Zeref, Natsu is finally taken care of by Igneel, the Fire Dragon King. He could have killed Natsu, but feeling sorry for him, he decided to take care of him and endow him with serious magical abilities.

Despite being separated for a long time, the two of them team up against Acnologia.

Igneel forbids Natsu from coming to his aid in a certain fight, but Natsu doesn't care and ends up joining his foster father for an epic final battle. Tragically, Igneel did not survive the fight.

4. Isshin and Ichigo Kurosaki (Bleach)

Isshin Kurosaki is not only a father of three, but also the former captain of the Gotei 13 10th Division. His personality is laid back and he is quite a tough Shinigami.

Although his movements are limited due to injury and he doesn't take on as many responsibilities as he used to, he can still fight.

Meanwhile, his son Ichigo, is one of the strongest characters in the series. Of course there is no need to doubt how capable Ichigo is in terms of fighting.

5. Monkey D. Dragon and Monkey D. Luffy (One Piece)

Monkey D. Dragon is a famous Revolutionary leader, and he is also Luffy's father. But in truth, Luffy never even met his father, and he has little interest in doing so. Dragon did follow his son's exploits, and was quite impressed by what he saw.

If the two of them teamed up, they would become a dangerous combination, though their battle tactics would be hard to tell, as the Dragon's power was still shrouded in mystery.

All that is known is that he is quite strong. Meanwhile, Luffy has various abilities, from those given by his Gomu Gomu no Mi to the use of Haki.

6. Endeavor and Shoto Todoroki (My Hero Academia)

Endeavor and his son Shoto do not have a very good relationship. This is entirely Endeavor's fault. He often abused Shoto physically and mentally.

He produced children in unique illegitimate marriages in hopes of creating a child whose powers would surpass any other child, then distanced him from his other siblings, physically abused him, and more.

Currently, Endeavor is trying to mend his relationship with Shoto, and hopes to give him real instructions. Shoto has not completely forgiven his father, but is learning how to control his fire-based quirk and how to become a hero in his own right.

7. Van Hohenheim and Edward Elric (Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood)

Edward Elric and his father Van Hohenheim are estranged from each other. Van Hohenheim left when Edward was still a child, then returned to find that not only had his wife died, but also his children were trying to revive their mother using alchemy, losing limbs, and burning down their house as symbolism.

It took the two of them a while to be able to re-establish anything resembling a family connection, but once they did, they were fighting each other against Father and his homunculi minions.

Both of them used alchemy, although Van Hohenheim's alchemy was much more limited since he was a human philosopher's stone, while Edward was only a human who was highly skilled in alchemy.

So that was the list of the strongest father-daughter duos in the anime. Which is your favourite?
