Check out Invincible Season 2's First Appearance

Season 2 of the animated series Invincible has finally officially released its first look. In the stills, Mark Grayson – voiced by Steven Yeun – meets Allen the Alien – voiced by Seth Rogen. Allen and Mark themselves last appeared together at the end of the first season of the series, when talking about the future.

This seems to confirm that their alliance will bring Allen to earth for the newest season. And now, after the news regarding season 2 was confirmed last month, the first look for Invincible season 2 has officially been released via its official Twitter account. In the upload, Allen and Mark can be seen talking at Burger Mart. And besides the first look for season 2, this upload is also believed to be a hint about the appearance of the teaser trailer which is likely to be released tomorrow.

Based on previous information, actually the production process for season 2 of Invincible itself has been in the works for a long time. However, the development of news about the season 2 project is not too much heard. Simon Racioppa, as the showrunner of the series, once said in March 2022 yesterday that the main reason working on season 2 of Invincible took so long was due to the animation process.

Racioppa emphasized that the COVID-19 pandemic hampered a lot of the workflow of the animation process. However, Steven Yeun and J.K. Simmons – the voice of Omni-Man – is known to have done the voice-over process beforehand. This provides a hint if these two characters will certainly appear for season 2. Apart from J.K. Simmons and also Steven Yeun, it is also believed that the other Invicible cast will return for season 2 later.

Then, what about the storyline in season 2 of Invincible? In this regard, the creator of the comic, Robert Kirkman, has provided clues on several occasions. For example, Kirkman explained that in season 2 there will be other villains that Mark Grayson will have to face, namely Angstorm Levy and Conquest. Apart from these two villains, the series is also ready to present other villains that might appear in the next season.

Even though Mark will face a villain that is no less powerful than before, based on the official first look he will likely get help from Allen the Alien. So far, there hasn't been much other information regarding season 2 of Invincible that has been confirmed by Prime Video. For example, we still don't know when the official premiere schedule for this next season will be. However, it is possible that the answer to this will appear in the upcoming teaser trailer. Let's just wait, geeks, for further news about the next season of the Invincible series!
