The Justice League That Didn't Appear in the DCU

The Justice League is one of the strongest superhero teams in the DCU. They have made a major contribution in protecting the Earth from various threats, starting from threats that come from outside the Earth, as well as those that come from the Earth itself. As we know, several core Justice League members have been introduced to the DCU, namely Superman, Batman, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, and Cyborg. But there's actually a lot more members of the Justice League in the comics. Which members of the Justice League haven't appeared in the DCU yet? Check out the following:

firestrom

Firestrom is a hero with enormous power. His powers are focused on nukes, much like Captain Atom's. Firestrom is indeed an interesting character, because he is actually a combination of two different people, namely Ronnie Raymond and Martin Stein. Raymond is a teenager while Stein is an adult who has won a Nobel Prize. Both of them had an accident so they finally joined forces to become Firestrom, nicknamed The Nuclear Man. As a strong character, Firestrom is able to manipulate molecules. In addition, he is also able to change his form into anything. In the comics, Firestrom is also an important member of the Justice League, and hopefully he'll appear in the DCU soon.

Green Lanterns

Of course, we already know the Green Lantern, who gets power from the Power Ring. With the Power Ring, a Green Lantern can create anything. This power is only limited by the ability and creativity of the user. As a core member of the Justice League, Green Lantern's presence is of course highly anticipated. In fact, Zack Snyder's Justice League film is the starting point for Green Lantern to join DCU, where the film will feature famous Green Lanterns such as John Stewart, Kilowog, and Tomar-Re. However, at that time, Warner Bros. requested that the Green Lantern appearance scene be removed, so they were canceled. Actually, many Green Lantern members exist in the DC Universe. But of course Hal Jordan is the most awaited appearance in DCU.

Orion

When Zack Snyder designed the DCU, he prepared Darkseid as the main villain that the Justice League would face. But in the end those plans fell through, and now DCU is moving in a new direction. Speaking of Darkseid, he actually has a son named Orion. But Orion did not inherit his father's evil nature because Orion was a member of the Justice League. Actually, Orion was not raised by Darkseid, because when he grew up, Orion actually grew up with Highfather. Orion's strength is indeed very powerful. In fact he can be compared with the strength of his father and Superman. If Darkseid and the New Gods are to appear in the DCU reboot, hopefully Orion will be introduced as a member of the Justice League.

Maxima

The name Maxima may sound familiar, but she can actually be compared to other strong female superheroes like Wonder Woman. For the geeks who don't know, Maxima comes from the planet Almerac, and she was originally Superman's enemy. But then DC changed his character and made him a member of the Justice League. Maxima herself has extraordinary psionic powers. In addition, he also has the power of telepathy, mind control, and hypnosis. Maxima is also a great fighter. It is evident that he once came face to face with Doomsday. Maxima's character is indeed very interesting, and it feels like her character should be introduced in the new Justice League in the DCU later.

Zauriel

Zauriel is a former angel who was cast out for falling in love with a woman. And after being banished, Zauriel decides to join the Justice League. Zauriel's appearance in Justice League gives a new color to the team, considering that Zauriel is a user of magical powers. Zauriel is also connected to The Specter, a powerful entity who has also been part of the Justice Society and Justice Dark. Zauriel has various powers, but his main strength is his powerful shriek. He also has a sword clad in flames, which Zauriel usually uses in close combat. Considering that no live action version has yet been shown, hopefully in the near future DC Studios will introduce Zauriel as a member of the Justice League in the DCU.

Vixen

Just like Maxima, the name Vixen is very foreign. But he is a member of the Justice League in DC comics. Vixen has quite a strange power, where she is able to imitate the abilities of animals. He can be as strong as a gorilla, as fast as a cheetah, and can fly like a bird. Occasionally, Vixen can also mimic human abilities. However, to get all these abilities, Vixen must use her magic amulet. Vixen also grew up in a fictional country called Zambesi, which is much like Wakanda. Interestingly, apart from being a member of the Justice League, Vixen has also joined the Suicide Squad.

Zatanna

In DCU, only two main characters have been introduced as magic users. They are Shazam and Black Adam. Actually, there is another character who uses magic that must be introduced in DCU. That figure is Zatanna, who in the comics is a member of the Justice League. Throughout her work in the Justice League, Zatanna was considered the best member. He is also an official member of the Justice League Dark, a division that deals with mystical threats. Actually in the DCU, a Zatanna movie was almost made. But the movie was canceled so it's unlikely we'll be seeing the character anytime soon.
